£7m Cannabis Seized at Newcastle Ferry Terminal

Cannabis with a street value of £7m was seized at Newcastle Ferry Terminal by UK Border Agency Officers.

Dutch national Jimmy Sijm, 25, has been charged with improper importation of the drug and has appeared at Newcastle Magistrates’ Court.

1.6 tonnes of Cannabis, packed in plastic bottles, was found in a lorry arriving from Amsterdam.
