Christened as the Nieuw Amsterdam in 1983, the cruise ship Thomson Spirit was sub-chartered by Thomson Cruises in 2003 and has an admirable history which has seen her literally around the globe during her service.

One of the largest ships (214 metres in length) in the Thomson fleet, the Spirit boasts a capacity of 1,350 passengers and 520 crew. Its 9 decks contain 627 staterooms, 3 large restaurants as well as numerous lounges, buffets and bars, a cinema and casino, self-service laundries, swimming pools and Health Club, and several well-attended retail shops.
